Recipes and labels from Personal Creations

Father’s Day is coming up and today I’m sharing the perfect gift; Must-Try Homemade Barbecue Sauces!  I love when the kids make me homemade gifts and I know my husband does as well.  Now that they’re getting older, they don’t do it as often, however with these recipes, they can.  The kids can create a delicious sauce and make a custom label to go on it too.  These are adorable and the recipes are quite simple so they can be made just in time for Father’s Day!

The Quick n’ Easy sauce recipe only requires a few simple steps— it’s almost foolproof.

    • 3 cups ketchup
    • ½  cup prepared yellow mustard
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • Salt to taste, optional

Step 1: Combine all of the above ingredients in a medium-sized bowl. Whisk together until blended completely.

Step 2: Bottle your barbecue sauce and enjoy! Don’t forget to label your sauce and serve with extra napkins.

If you like your barbecue with a hint of sweetness, then the honey barbecue sauce was made for you.

    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1 cup white vinegar
    • 2 tbsp molasses
    • 1 cup honey
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 2 tsp dry mustard
    • 1 tsp paprika
    • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
        1.

        2. In a medium saucepan, whisk together all the ingredients over medium heat.
        3. Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
        4. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
        5. Bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.

How about a rich & tangy white barbecue sauce?  Great for drizzling and pairs well with a rack of ribs!

    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon mustard
    • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
    • ¼ cup white vinegar
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon paprika

    • Place all of your ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and blend for 1 minute or until the mixture is smooth.
    • Bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.

Maybe a little zing is your thing? If that’s the case, whip up this spicy BBQ sauce recipe.

Whether you’re celebrating Dad this Father’s Day, hosting a Memorial Day barbecue or just looking to create something special, a batch of barbecue sauce made with love will do the trick.
