A Visit to the Nashoba Valley Winery and a Giveaway!

Back in June, my generous second grade parents gave me a gift card to the Nashoba Valley Winery as an end-of-the-year gift.  I was thrilled to get it as I heard many great things about their restaurant, wine, tours, and tastings.  My friend Kristi from Moms Own Words joined me yesterday for a beautiful day at the winery.  It was unusually warm for October, so we were glad to get out to enjoy the beautiful weather.
 


The first thing we did was get in line to sign up for the next wine-making tour.

 

We tasted about 6 different wines during the tour.

 

Our tour guide did a great job!

 

The store was mobbed, but we managed to take some pictures.

 

I couldn’t come home without a little something for Dave, so I got him a 6 pack of the Oaktoberfest beer!

 

Kristi found some tasty bottles of wine for her and her family!

 

I picked out a bottle of Riesling for myself and….

 

a bottle of 2009 Chardonnay for one of you!

    North Carolina has a lot of it’s own wineries. One of the largest closest to me is Duplin Winery. The 100th winery who joined the NC Wine Association is Cauble Creek Vineyards. I have favs from both.

    I love Christmas Eve from Duplin and Rosetta from Cauble Creek.
    When Christmas Eve is not available I drink Bald Head Red.

    Hope I’m a winner. Love the info you share, always helpful.

    Blackberry, Raspberry and Strawberry wine… and of course… Chardonnay, which I love to enjoy with my sister <3

    I don’t drink wine either, but I am 21 and my family all enjoys it. My mom is a big fan of fruity type wines…my brother drinks about any type, etc.

    I don’t make enough to be picky, but I like a nice merlot. Somewhere in the $5-10 range 🙂
    and since I am on my 3rd baby in 3 years, and due Nov 7th, I plan on getting a bottle and having a nice tall glass for Thanksgiving.

    I usually prefer a rich merlot but I am always up for trying anything….and I am over 21 but we won’t discuss by how much 🙂

    Favorite wine….. hrmmm…. strawberry wine! Homemade, to be exact! Thanks for this awesome giveaway! We want to go to a winery soon, we were going to go on our last vacation but didn’t have the time!

    My favorite wine is or WAS Moscato, I also love a good Lambrusco. Now my favorite is a macadamia honey wine from Hawaii that a friend brought to me.

    Last year on a winery vacation in Michigan, I found a white table wine called Old Lady. I really liked that one out of most all other wines we found on our trip.
